Getting Started
You don't need to record everything from the start. Even just noting dose times and the moments your body changes is enough for the shape of the curve to show.
The most common worry when you first start is, “What if I don’t record it right?” But this record-keeping isn’t a test — it’s closer to gathering material to talk about at your next clinic visit. Even if something is missing, the rest still carries that much value.
When you’re starting out, there are just two things to keep to: logging the time you took your medication, right when you take it, and logging the time whenever you feel your body change. Everything else can be added one step at a time once you’re used to it — there’s no rush.
Step by step
- Register the medications and times you usually take Once you enter them, you won't have to type them in again every time. They don't need to be exact — just enter your usual routine for now.
- Log each dose the moment you take it If you try to remember and log it later, the minute-by-minute timing gets blurry. This time is the reference point for everything else.
- Record an output whenever you feel your body change It helps to log both when you feel better and when you feel heavier. Three or four times a day is enough.
- Mark meals or anything unusual as an event Log things like meals, outings, or exercise — anything that might affect the curve.
- After about three days, look at the graph A single day's worth doesn't show much. A repeating pattern only shows up once several days have built up.

Frequently asked questions
-
How many times a day should I record?
There's no set number. Once for every dose, and once whenever you feel your body change, is enough for the shape of the curve to show. Try starting with three or four times a day.
-
How many days of records does it take before something shows up?
Three to four days is enough to start telling apart what repeats from what only happened that one day. If you have a clinic visit coming up, about a week's worth is good to have to talk about.
-
I missed a few days in the middle — can I just start again?
Yes. Missing some days doesn't reduce the value of the records that come after. You don't need to start over from the beginning — just pick up from where you left off.
